iOS 16 Announced in 2022 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC):

Tech giants, Apple, held the 2022 edition of its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) submit this past week. The WWDC is an annual event hosted by Apple where the company announces new software updates and occasionally hardware products in it’s lineup. Among the newest developments announced by the company were several features that would be launched with the new iOS 16 this coming fall such as the redesigned lock screen and the ability to edit a sent message for iMessage users. Apple’s new M2 chip was also announced for the new series of Mac PCs.

NASA To Send Software Patch To Mars Ingenuity Helicopter:

The National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) have announced that they would send a software patch to the Mars Ingenuity helicopter to help correct a malfunctioning sensor. The Ingenuity helicopter is presently grounded on Mars as a result of the failure of the inclinometer – a component that helps the helicopter judge it’s orientation while flying. The Ingenuity helicopter was part of NASA’s Mars 2020 mission along with the Perseverance Rover. Both have been on Martian surface since February 18th 2021.

EU Mandates Type-C Charging Port Across Smart Devices:

Countries and lawmakers in the European Union, on Tuesday, agreed to a single mobile charging port for mobile phones, tablets and cameras. The legislation is designed to cut waste and make life easier for consumers who would then be able to use one charger for multiple devices.

The biggest impact of this new legislation would be on tech giants, Apple, who have continued to rely on a proprietary Lightning port for charging the iPhone. Manufacturer have till 2024 to effect the necessary changes to support the legislation.
